It takes a special kind of something to look after the thousands of passengers who pass through our stations every day. That’s why we’re proud of our station teams. And you can be proud of the difference you’ll make when you join them.
Help and serve passengers in our stations and on our platforms. From making announcements to answering questions, checking tickets at the gate, or letting train drivers know it’s safe to depart, you’ll help get passengers where they need to be. And make sure our stations provide a warm and welcoming stop on their journey.
Our Station teams are made up of a variety of roles. This includes positions on our platforms and gatelines as well as in our ticket offices. We also have team members who provide general support across a few stations (this often requires a full driving licence). And on our highspeed services we have Passenger Hosts.
Whichever role you do, it’s all about providing great customer service, keeping colleagues and passengers safe, and ensuring our stations are clean and tidy. And whichever role you start in, you’re likely to find yourself quickly progressing to another.
On top of that, you’ll get job security, amazing colleagues and great rewards. Check out the benefits you could get.
Our station colleagues work a varied shift pattern, which includes weekends, bank holidays and nights. You may have to start as early as 5.30am, and on some shifts you’ll finish after the last train has dispatched. At certain stations, you may also spend some of your shifts working alone.
