We're excited to offer two pathways on our 2025 graduate scheme. They are both open to final year students at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) and the University of Greenwich (UofG), as part of our commitment to social mobility in the areas we serve.

Our summer internship programme for second year students is back and bigger than ever! Join us for two months this summer and be part of the teams making great things happen.

The pathway you can apply for depends on where your currently studying, so please double check you’re eligible before you apply.

Rail industry work experience programme

We've teamed up with our industry partners to offer an exclusive work experience programme aimed at ages 14-15. Led by Routes into Rail, the programme will take place during the 2025 Easter half-term.

Engineering Apprenticeship – open for applications from 10 February 2025

Starting in September 2025, our three-year Engineering Apprenticeship programme is the perfect foundation block for anyone looking to start a career in Engineering.

The apprenticeship balances college learning with work placements at our Engineering depots for an excellent blended approach to learning.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship will result in a Level 3 Diploma in Rail Engineering Competence and knowledge of different types of trains, faults and Southeastern depots, as well as opportunities to progress into other Engineering roles.
