All types of Railcard allow you to purchase a train ticket at a reduced rate, saving you up to a 1/3 off your travel. For more information, and to find the right Railcard for you, visit our Railcards page.
Digital Railcards are a convenient alternative to traditional paper Railcards.
Instead of having to bring your paper railcard with you every time you travel, Digital Railcards are stored in the Southeastern app. So your tickets and Railcards will be stored in the same place. You can buy Digital Railcards from the Southeastern website and app.
Digital Railcards offer the same great savings as paper railcards, they're just easier to buy, store and use.
Just download the Southeastern app to store your Digital Railcard.
You can buy your Digital Railcard from the Southeastern website or app, and it will automatically be available in your account.
The first time you buy it, remember to Favourite it in the Southeastern app so we can automatically apply your Railcard discount every time you buy tickets with us.
If a member of staff asks to see your Railcard, just show them your Digital Railcard in the Southeastern app.
We will send you an email or app message before your railcard is due to expire.
You can renew your Digital Railcard through the Southeastern website or app, within 30 days of the expiry date.
Simply login to your account, select the type of railcard you want to renew, then follow the easy steps.
Once your payment has been confirmed, your renewed Digital Railcard will be available to use straight away.
Sorry, Digital Railcards are non-refundable and they can't be transferred to another person. Please be sure you're buying the correct Railcard, and that you're logged into the right account when doing so.
If you have an Annual Gold Card, you can buy one of the following yearly Railcards for just £10, either for yourself or someone else:
- 16-25 Railcard
- Family and Friends Railcard
- Network Railcard
- Senior Railcard
- Two Together Railcard
If you forgot to travel with your Railcard and couldn’t get a discount on your ticket, you can apply for a refund of the difference on the first occasion. You can upload a copy of your ticket and railcard to our Contact Customer Services form. We’ll be happy to consider a refund for you.

If you're planning on travelling Off-Peak in a group of 10 or more, which can include children up to the age of 17 inclusive, you could save with our Group Travel discount.
