Emergency services dealing with an incident between Ashford International and Canterbury West means all lines are closed. As a result, trains running between these stations may be canceled or revised.
This is expected until 11:00.
What's happened?
We have received reports of a person being hit by a train between Ashford and Canterbury West. Electricity to the track has been switched off and emergency services have been called. How does this affect my journey?
Trains are currently unable to run between Ashford and Ramsgate via Canterbury West and are likely to be cancelled or diverted to run via Dover. What should I do?
Please allow extra time to complete your journey and check before you travel. You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Stagecoach services between Ashford, Canterbury and Ramsgate. You can also use our services via Canterbury East at no extra cost. Here's a summary of the services that we'll be running over the next few days.
Thursday 2 & Friday 3 January: We'll be running a Saturday timetable, with additional peak-time trains on some routes. Normal ticket restrictions will apply.
Saturday 4 January: All routes are open and we'll be running our normal Saturday timetable
Sunday 5 January: Our normal Sunday timetable will be running, except on the following routes where engineering work is taking place:

Southeastern between London Victoria
Engineering work is taking place between Swanley and Rochester, closing all lines very early on Friday morning.
The 00:40 London Victoria to Gillingham will be retimed to start at 00:42, and will be diverted non-stop to Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham.
The 00:25 London Victoria to Ashford International will be retimed to 00:40, and call as booked.
A replacement bus will depart Swanley at 01:15, calling to set down only at Farningham Road, Longfield, Meopham, Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham.
Please note that these trains run at the end of Thursday's service.

Various Southeastern routes
Engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines overnight from Monday to Thursday.
These changes may be subject to further alteration on some days, such as starting earlier, or not taking place at all. Please check your journey using the Journey Planner, and also check other items on our engineering pages for the date of your journey.
Mondays only:
Every Monday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.
From 23:50 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Ashford International and Canterbury West / Ramsgate.
Mondays and Tuesdays:
Every Monday and Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to and from London Charing Cross.
There will be no trains at London Charing Cross or London Waterloo East from approximately 23:30 until the end of service.
Trains will run from London Cannon Street instead, and you will need to travel to / from London Cannon Street / London Bridge.
Tuesdays only:
Every Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Faversham and Ramsgate via Margate.
From 23:30 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Faversham and Margate / Ramsgate.
Wednesdays and Thursdays:
Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to / from London Cannon Street.
There will be no trains at London Cannon Street from approximately 23:35 until the end of service.
Trains will run to / from London Charing Cross instead, if you could please make your way to London Bridge for these trains.

From 23:00 until the end of service, you can use London Underground between Charing Cross, Embankment, Cannon Street, London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo at no extra cost.
