If you are travelling you can find out the latest information about our services and see if there are any disruptions that might affect you
Failure of the electricity supply at Kemsing means that the line towards Ashford International is blocked. As a result, trains running between Swanley and Ashford International may be cancelled or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 01:00.
What's happened?
A problem with the electrical supply has been reported in the Kemsing area, meaning that the line towards Ashford International via Maidstone East is currently closed.
How does this affect my journey?
The line is now expected to be blocked for the rest of the day and trains will be diverted via Sevenoaks and Paddock Wood and won't be able to stop at stations between Otford and Charing.
Trains towards London are unaffected and will continue to run normally, although delays may still be experienced.
Replacement buses have been requested to run between Swanley and Maidstone East and Maidstone and Ashford but aren't expected to be available before 22:00.
What should I do?
For Maidstone, you can change at Paddock Wood for trains to Maidstone West or Maidstone Barracks.
For stations between Maidstone East and Charing, you can travel to Ashford International and change there for a train back towards Maidstone East.
If you're travelling to or from Kemsing, replacement buses cannot serve this station so please use the station help point or contact us on WhatsApp: 07866 002690 so we can arrange a taxi for you.
