A fault with the signalling system in the New Cross area is causing major disruption to journeys running between London Cannon Street / London Charing Cross and New Cross. As a result, trains may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 14:30.
What's happened?
A signalling fault at New Cross is causing delays to services in and out of London Cannon Street and London Charing Cross. Response staff from Network Rail have been able to reopen most of the affected lines, but some trains from London Charing Cross to Lewisham will be unable to stop at Lewisham until the fault is fixed.
How does this affect my journey?
Services to and from London Cannon Street and London Charing Cross will be subject to severe delays with some trains being delayed by up to an hour. Trains on all routes likely to be subject to alterations, cancellations.

These alterations only affect trains leaving London. Trains towards London are now able to stop normally at Lewisham.
What should I do?
Allow extra time to make your journey and use our journey planner for the latest information. If your train is unable to stop at Lewisham, you can change at Hither Green or Ladywell for a train back to Lewisham.

No trains on the Sheerness Line between Saturday 26 October & Saturday 2 November
While Network Rail complete urgent repairs to the Kingsferry Bridge, buses replace trains between Sheerness-on-Sea and Sittingbourne until Saturday 2 November inclusive.
Swale station is closed.

No trains between Paddock Wood and Maidstone West between Thursday 31 October & Sunday 3 November
While Network Rail carry out work to prevent landslips in the area, buses will replace trains between Paddock Wood and Maidstone West between Thursday 31 October and Sunday 3 November inclusive.
On Sunday, these buses are extended to run to / from Tonbridge.

Engineering work is taking place across the Southeastern network, closing various lines.
Monday:
From 22:45 until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Tonbridge and Wadhurst / Hastings.
Tuesday and Wednesday:
The 00:26 London Cannon Street to Dartford via Greenwich service will be diverted to run via Bexleyheath. An accessible replacement bus service will run between Lewisham and Dartford via Greenwich.
Tuesday:
From 23:40 until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings and will run between:
Wednesday and Thursday:
The 22:34 London Charing Cross to Ramsgate via Canterbury West service will terminate at Minster. An accessible replacement bus service will run between Minster and Ramsgate, calling at all stations.
The 23:07 London St Pancras International to Ramsgate via Dover Priory service will terminate at Deal. An accessible replacement bus service will run between Deal and Ramsgate, calling at all stations.
The 23:40 London St Pancras International to Margate via Canterbury West service will terminate at Minster. An accessible replacement bus service will run between Minster and Margate, calling at all stations except Dumpton Park.
Thursday and Friday:
The 00:22 London Charing Cross to Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal service will be diverted to run via Bexleyheath. An accessible replacement bus service will run between Lewisham and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal.

Engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines overnight from Monday to Thursday.
These changes may be subject to further alteration on some days, such as starting earlier, or not taking place at all. Please check your journey using the Journey Planner, and also check other items on our engineering pages for the date of your journey.
Mondays only:
Every Monday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.
From 23:50 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Ashford International and Canterbury West / Ramsgate.
Mondays and Tuesdays:
Every Monday and Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to and from London Charing Cross.
There will be no trains at London Charing Cross or London Waterloo East from approximately 23:30 until the end of service.
Trains will run from London Cannon Street instead, and you will need to travel to / from London Cannon Street / London Bridge.
Tuesdays only:
Every Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Faversham and Ramsgate via Margate.
From 23:30 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Faversham and Margate / Ramsgate.
Wednesdays and Thursdays:
Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to / from London Cannon Street.
There will be no trains at London Cannon Street from approximately 23:35 until the end of service.
Trains will run to / from London Charing Cross instead, if you could please make your way to London Bridge for these trains.

From 23:00 until the end of service, you can use London Underground between Charing Cross, Embankment, Cannon Street, London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo at no extra cost.
